The club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Bertie McGill in Australia.
Bertie was a key member of the famous side of the 1970s. He played in 86 matches, taking an impressive 184 wickets at a remarkable average of 15.47 and an economy rate of just 2.19. Despite living in Australia, Bertie continued to follow the fortunes of the club and always made time to visit whenever his work brought him back to the UK.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, both in Ireland and Australia.
